Hustle Hard

Hustle Hard

The truth about side hustles is in the name. It is meant to be on the side to bring in extra income. Think hard about why you are choosing to do a side hustle. If it’s to pay off debt, have you evaluated other factors already? For example, I don’t see the point in working well over 40 hours a week, not spending time with my family, if I haven’t already cut out everything I could from my budget so that my income from the side hustle could make a difference.

Before you Leap

First, before you get started on your side hustle journey take a look at a few things:

Do you have a budget? If not how do you know what you are putting your hard earned money towards? You can read more on a basic budget here.

Have you taken a good look at your budget categories and make sure you’re not leaving anything out. Read more on that subject here.

Have you looked at ways to improve your finances? Here are some suggestions.

First Things First

Let me assure you there will not be any survey suggestions here. Yes, there are probably some good ones that can earn you some money, but personally, I find them so mundane and not worth my time. I have tried several and have not found any that I could recommend.

Also, I don’t consider cash back offers from shopping as a side hustle. Yes, there are a few ways to save money while shopping and that is awesome by all means. But it is not a hustle. However, if you are interested you can read my post about 3 great ways to earn cash-real cash- from the shopping, you are already doing.

Getting Started

As always do your own research into these companies to make sure they are a good fit for you. These are just some of my personal opinions on some side hustles you could look into. I do not get paid for any of these suggestions or links, they are simply the hustles I believe have the most potential for your time.

Usertesting

This one is my favorite! You can become a tester who test out websites and apps for companies. They are usually about 10-15 minutes long and pays a minimum of $10.00 for each test. A computer is required for joining and performing your first test. After that, there is an app you can download to your phone and tablet. Occasionally there are test available on the app. To make the most money I use all three devices. Check out their website here for more information.

Etsy/Shopify

Do you love to create? It could be beneficial to turn a hobby into a side hustle. Do you like painting, making t-shirts, scrapbooking? I saw a posting the other day on Etsy that was basically pieces of scrapbooking that could be used to create a vision board. How simple is that! Don’t be scared to put yourself out there. I am not telling you if One platform is better than the other, because I really do not know. I know some sellers that use both. You can get more information on Shopify here and more information on Etsy here.

DoorDash/ Uber Eats

For the most part, you can design your own schedule to deliver food. With both companies, the minimum age to be a driver is 18. They each have a base pay of their own plus you keep all of your tips. You can read more on DoorDash here and Uber Eats here to decide which is best for you, or perhaps both.

Udemy/Teachable

Have some valuable knowledge to share? With Udemy and Teachable you can create a course and sell it on their site. The great thing about this option is that you only have to take the time to create it once. Then it is somewhat like passive income. Every time someone signs up for it you are paid. Of coarse, you can create more than one class to earn more. Take some time to promote them o platforms like social media and word of mouth. They are both different in their own right so you can read more on Udemy here and Teachable here.

Plenty of Options

The hustle’s listed above are the options that I find to be the fastest and easiest to earn money. But any Pinterest search will tell you there are so many more hustles. You can be a virtual assistant to others, walk some dogs, start a MLM business, or an online tutor. There are endless possibilities. If it is important to you, you will find the right one for you!

I would love to hear about any side hustle’s you found that turned out to be great opportunities!
