Earn Cash Back While Shopping

If you have to shop why not earn money while shopping? If you are anything like me you love to shop online. I just don’t like driving and dealing with crowds of people anymore when I don’t have to. I would say other than groceries, 90% of my shopping is online. And what is even better is that I have learned there are resources out there that help you earn money while you shop.

Ebates:

Ebates is a site that you go to first and choose what shop you want to buy from. At the moment when I select Walmart, I can earn up to 10% back on my purchase. I click the shop now button and it directs me to the actual Walmart website. I then shop as I normally would and check out. That is as simple as can be! I then receive an email from Ebates letting me know how much I have earned. Even better is the fact that I can choose to have them mail me a check each quarter or have it sent directly to me through Paypal.

They have a toolbar extension that you can have installed directly on your Chrome if you choose to. This way I don’t have to worry about going to the Ebates website first. If I go directly to Target’s website a little pop up from Ebates will appear telling me how much I can earn from my purchase. You just simply click on shop now to apply. Just like that you are earning money from shopping that you were planning on doing anyway.

Ebates has been around for 20 years and is always free to use. I personally have been using Ebates since 2015. I do not go out of my way to use it and I only use it when I am already buying something anyway. So far I have made $1085 in cash back. Not bad for something I am doing already.

Ibotta

Ibotta is an app you can download for free on your smartphone. Mainly it is used correlated with your grocery shopping. On the app, you pick which store you will be shopping. Currently, you can earn cash back from King Soopers (Kroger depending on where you live), Walmart, Target, Safeway, Costco, Natural Grocers, Sams Club, and Sprouts. There are other stores you can shop from online to earn cash back but we will talk about that in a minute.

Once you select the store you are shopping at you can see all of the offers available. Some are specific brand names and some are just generic such as ice cream. Select the offers you have or will be taking advantage of. Because offers do change and expire, I select my offers the day I am shopping or right after I have shopped. Once you have selected your offers, click on redeem. You will have to scan a picture of your receipt so make sure you hang on to that!

There are also stores you can select to earn cash back by shopping online. For me personally, I tend to stick to Ebates for these purchases. However, sometimes Ibotta has a better cash back rate than Ebates. It pays to compare who has the most cash back for the moment.

Just like Ebates you really are earning cash back. You can opt to get your money via Paypal or cash it in for one of the several gift cards they offer. You do have to reach $20.00 before you can cash out but if you are maximizing Ibotta to its full potential it will take you no time! Everyone has to buy groceries, why not earn money while shopping for basic the groceries you need.

Gotta Love Cash Back
