GOAL SETTING

Strong goal setting

Setting strong goals is really what goal setting is about. I am such a strong believer in setting goals. If there is a worksheet about it I have printed it. I have made several vision boards. I just love making goals. But even more so, I love CRUSHING my goals. You just can not beat the feeling of setting a goal and actually making it happen.

There is a process for setting goals. You can’t just wish for something to happen and expect it to happen.

Be very specific about your goal and the action steps you will take to attain that goal. You can even print this worksheet to help!

Setting Strong Goals:

Goal: I bought in an extra $100 this month!

Notice I am not saying I want to. Make it a present statement as if you are already doing it. Your mind is a powerful tool, by creating this mindset that you are already acheiving something, your mind will find a way to make it happen. Always envision your goal as something that has happened. Be very specific about your goal. Most people could just say I want to make extra money this month. That is too vague, you could essentialy hit your goal by only making an extra $5.00. You can never be too specific for a goal.

Plan of Action for Setting Strong Goals:

Next, make a plan of action. Brainstorm ideas on how you can reach your goal. Make a list and jump into action!
Action Steps: Purge Clothes $30, Site surveys $20, purge electronics & movies $50. Again, with the mindset, believe you can do something and you will be open to finding ways to bring in more money.

A Step Forward- Be a Goal Digger!

Make separate and specific 30 day, 60 day, and 90 day goals. Take it a step further. Print and put these goals somewhere you will see them on a daily basis. Remind yourself every day that you can and will achieve these goals! Nothing is stopping you from achieving them! Actively pursue these everyday. Ask yourself, what is one thing you can do today that will bring you one step closer to achieving your goal?

My favorite tool is a Start Journal by Rachel Hollis. And what I love is that even if you don’t purchase one from her, she list out the steps on how to make your own with just a regular notebook. If you haven’t heard about her, you can read more about it here.

Are you setting strong goals? I would love to hear them.

My goals for the end of this year is to actually get going on my Cricut and start making custom items! I have a plan to bring in at least $100 extra a month for fun spending.

Wow, that “I will” vs the “I want” really caught my attention! I have never seen or thought of that before, nor had even ever noticed until now, that I was actually that person that says “I want to be able to…x,y,z” I will be creating a vision board very soon, and I am so excited to do so! I need all the motivation I can get for my ultimate goal right now which is picking up my business to retire my husband! Thank you for this lesson and encouragement!💕
