3 Simple Summer Porch Cocktails

Summer Porch Cocktails

When we started working on plans to build our house the front porch was the most important thing to me. I grew up in the south and just loved those southern porches with rocking chairs. I envisioned life at a slower pace just relaxing on my porch.

Summer is the perfect time to find any reason to slow done a little and enjoy life. What better way than creating a happy hour at home! Here are my 3 favorite and easy cocktails to make.

Blackberry MojitoBlackberry Mojito

Blackberries and mint seem to combine in the best way, but really you can use any fruit you would like. If you are using a really sweet fruit I would just cut back on the sugar a little.

Ingredients
1 cup blackberries
6 mint leaves
4 tsp sugar
1/4 cup lime juice
3 oz white rum
1/2 cup club soda

Serving Size: 1

Muddle together the blackberries with the mint leaves and sugar. Add the lime juice and rum to the mixture. Pour over ice and top off with club soda. Enjoy!

Peach Bellini

Peach Bellini

I love fresh peaches in the summer. They are the ultimate summer fruit.

Ingredients
3 cups of peaches
1 cup of ice
3 cups of Moscato D’ Asti

Serving Size: 2

Dice the peaches and place in a blender with ice. Once smooth add the Moscato D’Asti and blend until mixed through. Enjoy!

Peach Rum and Coke

Peach Rum and Coke

This is a classic with a spin. I realize it sounds like an odd combination, but trust me on this one!

Ingredients
2 oz of peach rum
6 oz of Coke

Serving size: 1

Pour the rum in a glass filled with ice. Top with Coke. Enjoy!
